Metal Style signs are manufactured by first engraving the base material ( Australian Hardwood timber) with your choice of design and then applying a polymer mix of metal to the entire sign, front, back and all sides.
The metal formula provides fantastic weather protection and is superior to the usual metals in that it does not ever rust. We also give an additional coat of varnish as an aded protection so cleaning is as simple as alight rub with a soft cloth.
This process has been tested by the US navy in simulated conditions to 30 years and since it satisfied them should easily satisfy any domestic situation. We have seen this being used for farm signs, house signs, boat signs, bar signs, and memorial plaques.
The finishes available are
- aluminium (e.g. The Moorings)
- brass (e.g. Lord & Lady of Lochaber, Windemere)
- x-metal (a compound that has a stainless steel look e.g. Innisfree).
